The Yarbrough House – 3200 square feet
Built in 1835, the historic Yarbrough House is the focal point of Cedarwood. A flexible and versatile event facility, this elegantly restored home is ideal for weddings and receptions, and can be used for cocktail parties, corporate meetings and special events. The home’s open floor plan features 1856 square feet of space on the main floor with an aristocratic turn of the century atmosphere. The warm upscale interior is appointed with red oak hardwood floors inlaid with walnut borders, custom columns and crown molding, 2 staircases, 2 fireplaces, antique bronze and crystal chandelier, French doors, plantation shutters and decorative lighting.

Antebellum Front Lawn
Nothing says southern graciousness more than a shady antebellum front lawn. Cedarwood’s stately lawn hosted important political rallies and social events in the mid 1800’s and is a special place for today’s most cherished ceremonies and celebrations.

Private Parking
One of the best features of Cedarwood is our close proximity to downtown Nashville and all major interstates via Briley Parkway. Our one-acre parking lot is private and protected, and can safely accommodate 100 guest vehicles.

Front Parlor / Ceremony Room – 522 square feet
Cedarwood can accommodate an intimate indoor ceremony with seating for 60 guests in the main parlor, or up to 75 guests in the parlor plus adjoining foyer. The parlor is appointed with a beautiful coffered ceiling, two masonry fireplaces with wood mantels, brick hearths and surround, decorative ceiling lights and recessed spot lights. It provides a rich, warm and inviting space for indoor weddings.

Foyer and Double Reception Rooms – 1,008 square feet
Connecting the Front Parlor to the rest of the main floor, these three interconnecting rooms provide an open space with great guest flow for a wedding cake and buffet tables, or space for an intimate indoor dinner party.

Stone Terrace – 2,600 square feet
The expansive stone terrace wraps around the historic Yarbrough House, providing 2600 square feet of reception space for dining and dancing. The terrace is a perfect compliment to the house, and can be tented and heated for year round event space for up to 200 guests.
Carriage House – 2,200 square feet
Two public restrooms and the groom’s cottage are part of our newly constructed Carriage House, which also houses our on-site design studio and consultation offices.
Bride’s Suite - 218 square feet
The Bride’s suite on the first floor of the Historic Yarbrough House includes a private bathroom and provides a romantic setting for the bride and her attendants to prepare for a ceremony at Cedarwood.

The Groom’s Cottage located on the first floor of the Carriage House at Cedarwood offers a fun respite for the groom and groomsmen to await their queue.

Garden Terrace Outdoor Ceremony Site – 5,400 square feet
Rich green grass framed by a pristine white farm fence and surrounded by roses, the garden terrace overlooks one of the most historic and beautiful country estates in Nashville. The garden terrace is an idyllic setting for outdoor weddings with a capacity for seating up to 200 guests. The terrace is shaded by 5 Pm for a comfortable garden ceremony, and tents can be rented for added protection from the elements.

Flower gardens, lushly landscaped grounds, open meadows and hillside panoramic views surround the historic Yarbrough House, each contributing to the magical mosaic that is Cedarwood.

Wildflower Meadow
The meadow is an open field bordered by an authentic stone wall (circa 1800) and wildflowers. This space is adjacent to our rustic barnyard, and is suited for casual gatherings, but also makes a great wedding and reception venue for those wanting a more expansive natural outdoor setting.
